The Sylmar Kwik Market was originally built in 1920, when San Fernando Road was the WAY to get from Los Angeles to No. California. In 1977 The Civilitti family sold the market to John and Lem Fusano, who along with their family, ran an olive packing plant located across the street. The Fusano family arrived in Sylmar at this very intersection (see pictures below),where the train depot used to be.
