ABOUT BOBBY
In 1949, Robert Perkins, "Bobby," opened the doors for what would become the most popular breakfast diner in Woodland Hills, and possibly the whole San Fernando Valley. Bobby had worked as a cook after sering in the US Navy during World War II. Even after becoming a restaurant owner, Bobby would stillhit the grill every morning while his wife ran the register and his children took down the orders. Working together as a family, they would serve lines of hungry customers every day of the week. Bobby took pride in serving a wide range of customers, from the construction workers developing the west end of the valley, business men filling up new office buildings, local residents, and even kids who would sneak away for a lunch from the local high schools. Since day one, anybody could walk into Bobby's and feel right at home.
