Tradition and ritual are at the heart and soul of Five on the Hill’s Executive Chef Kee Yu’s vision. He was inspired by his favorite childhood snack – fire-roasted sweet & spicy “Drunken Nuts”. While growing up in a small hillside town in Korea, this family tradition and recipe was passed down from generation to generation. Chef has hung onto this recipe, as well as the memories they evoke within him while working in kitchens in New York City, Seattle, and now in Los Angeles. During Chef Kee’s culinary journey, they acted as a reminder of family history, passion, and creativity that went into all their dishes. Five on the Hill’s “Drunken Nuts” are prepared tableside and are guaranteed to be a fiery beginning to a remarkable night. This personal touch and grand presentation motivated us to create more one-of-a-kind, authentic experiences for our guests that display the elevated flair we strive to execute with all of our dishes. Whether you are looking to unwind or impress you are always in for an incredible experience on “The Hill.”
